A content curation struggle

Content curation is something that I can honestly say I am struggling with (for free platforms). I have tried multiple platforms such as eLink, Mendeley, Pocket, GoogleDocs, etc. and have came up short on finding the one I like the best.
A great article on content curation and what it is can be found here: https://blog.triberr.com/benefits-of-content-curation-with-actionable-examples/
I truly liked using eLink but was only able to curate ten links on a free account - which just does not work. This platform allowed creativity in a shareable public platform that I enjoyed. My attempt with this platform did not last long due to the ten post cut off with a free account, but here is a link to what I did do https://elink.io/95c4224
Pocket and GoogleDocs are other curation platforms. Some of my fellow students are having much success with these, but I dont find them to have the "technology?" that I really want. I'd like to be able to edit and add annotations, rearrange, and format my entire curated library to something I am proud of sharing. Maybe I am asking for too much but I did not find what I wanted in these platforms.
Mendeley I am still working with. I love that there is a public library of journals at your disposal to read, access, and easily add to your library at the click of a button. I will use it as an overall database to keep all of my documents, but again, do not find that I can personalize it into a sharing platform as much as I'd like.
Really I'm writing this blog post as a hope that someone else has found a platform that encompasses accessibility as well as customizability and can share their own personal experiences. At this point I feel as though I will use Mendeley as a database but then create a word document for an annotated bibliography of all my curated content. Stay tuned.
